Knights of Columbus is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our community's biggest challenges. With a strong emphasis on service and education, we make sure our partners are empowered by creating opportunities for individuals and communities.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Changing Lives Through Catholic Education
Our Joseph D. Tomlinson Memorial Scholarship Program was started to honor the memory of one of our beloved brother Knight, Joe Tomlinson, who lost his battle with bladder cancer in 2016.

The Scholarship Program was funded initially by Joe's spouse Dana and her children with additional funds provided by the proceeds from our Knights of Columbus Golf Tourney. The tournament was renamed the Joseph D Tomlinson Memorial Golf Tournament, and all proceeds from the tourney now continually fund our scholarship program.

The JDT Memorial Scholarship program provides scholarships of up to $500.00 to students leaving Holy Trinity Catholic School and starting their first year at Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School.
In 2022, we permanently endowed a scholarship at Saint Francis University for students graduating from Bishop Guilfoyle and attending Saint Francis University.

To date, our Council 551 awarded over $31,000 in Scholarships. Our Memorial Scholarship program is funded through the proceeds of our Joseph D. Tomlinson Memorial Golf Tournament, held on the 3rd Sunday of June each year.
